2 hrs// $95
The original visible mending technique! Learn this century-old Japanese method of fabric repair (think kintsugi for your clothes) and turn those hole-ridden pairs of jeans into a work of art.
We’ll walk you through the Sashiko method and form, including how to do a running stitch
Learn the best application of this practical art form and how to prep your fabric and plan your project
Go home with the piece you mended in class, plus your very own Sashiko starter kit (large and small Sashiko needles, a palm thimble, and a water-soluble pencil) ready for your next project
Optional: Bring in an item you would like to start mending in class (we recommend items made of tightly woven cotton or natural fibers such as denim, canvas, and linen)
